Since You Asked...
Cathleen Gillingham has had a love of photography since she was a young girl. She bought herself a $15 Polaroid with the money she had earned babysitting, and when she was in high school, her awesome parents bought her a Minolta and let her set up a darkroom in the basement.
While majoring in Visual Communications at Gibbs College, Cathleen was introduced to digital photography and Adobe Photoshop. Wanting to learn more about photo editing some years later, she returned to the classroom in 2016 and received a Certification in Digital Photography and Adobe Photoshop/Lightroom from Pace University; she continues to use the skills she learned daily and is always looking to expand her knowledge of editing and digital design communications.
Her photographs have been recognized by several organizations and news outlets, including The Weather Channel, the Vietnam Veterans of America, NY1 News, the Staten Island Advance (where she is also a featured photographer), the Staten Island Museum, and Snug Harbor Cultural Center among others, and has participated in exhibits and collectives, such as "Here Is New York" and the upcoming "Day in the Life of Staten Island".
Her resume and complete skills set can be found on LinkedIn. She can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org
